Cultural Enterprise Office

The Cultural Enterprise Office delivers its service to Scotland-based practioners through one to one advice sessions; an information and enquiry service; seminars, training and network events.

Jim Ewan is Aberdeen's Cultural Enterprise advisor. He is based at Peacock Visual Arts and works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday mornings.

Jim’s background and activities are deeply bedded in the creative industries as he is both a practising artist and musician. Having graduated from Robert Gordon’s University with an MA in fine art he took over the position as Company Director of an established business: Dr Drake’s Alternative Music Venue that was situated in the heart of Aberdeen city centre. It was during this period that he became actively involved with the promotion and production of live music which led to working with Peacock Visual Arts and Aberdeen City Council to produce ‘SHIFT’ a bi-annual alternative music and arts festival in Aberdeen City centre.
